I am eternally grateful that the Spirit of the Lord gave me my own personal witness that the message the missionaries delivered to me was of divine nature, and that if I were to be obedient to the things I learned for myself to be true, I would be blessed beyond measure.
I was so thankful to have learned such a vital piece of information because it helped me to realize that there is so much more to life than our mortal existence!
This is where the moment climaxed for me. After all that had happened today, beginning with expecting nothing more than to feel honoured to be part of the security team for President Nelson and his travel companions, and receiving more than I ever could have dreamed or imagined, this was the moment I will never forget...the moment that will forever be etched in my mind and heart.
Today’s technology also allows us to use wireless telephones to exchange information rapidly. Recently Wendy and I were on assignment on another continent when we learned that a new baby had arrived in our family. We received the good news minutes after that birth had occurred half a world away.
Our spirits long for us to remember the truth about who we are, because the way we see ourselves, our sense of identity, affects everything we do.
John Rey and Mara Bautista were visiting the BYU Jerusalem Center for President Nelson's global ministry tour. It was there that their 7-year-old daughter, Ella, said something about his visit they will never forget.
